Vice President

Mindi Szumanski was raised in Westlake, Louisiana and moved to the Houston area after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications in 1993. In 2011, her family started a new church plant in The Woodlands, Texas. She counts it an honor to serve as pastor’s wife of The Pentecostals of The Woodlands where she shares her husband’s burden for souls and to reach The Woodlands community. Mindi truly loves people, and they love her because she is ‘real.’ She is sensitive to the needs of others and is a mother to many.

She and her husband have three boys named Dylan, Colyn, and Ethan who are all very active in ministry. Mindi homeschooled the boys and had an insatiable desire to see them saved and to be everything that God wants them to be. Due to her extensive research, the oldest son graduated high school with his bachelor’s degree at age 18 and will finish his master in Counseling from Lamar University this summer. The youngest son graduated high school two years early with his bachelor’s degree at age 16 and is the youngest student ever at South Texas College of Law. Her middle son graduated high school a year early and is on track to finish his Master's degree in Jazz Studies this Fall. She has purposed to study family dynamics and to say that she is passionate about the family is an understatement. She is a family ‘junkie’ and is addicted to learning new ways to help families thrive. She has a blog called The Fervent Family where she shares this passion. Mindi Szumanski is a clear voice and is used as a tremendous resource inside and outside of the church on topics such as family, wellness, homeschooling, and outreach.

Mindi has been instrumental in all facets of growing their ad agency, DGS Advertising, since its inception in 1999. She has worked closely with national level clients in developing and executing results-driven marketing initiatives. She is also co-owner of the renowned Medical Journal – Houston, a healthcare business newspaper, where she serves as Publisher and Editor.
