Christen Sistrunk


Christen received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston Clear Lake. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas.

Upon completion of her master’s degree Christen worked as a behavioral therapist at the Houston OCD Program treating OCD and anxiety disorders in a residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient setting. Christen has completed intensive training with the International OCD Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) and has been BTTI certified since 2015. Christen has served on the board of OCD Texas since 2010 and the current active president.

Christen’s training and current practice involve utilizing evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure-Response Prevention combined with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, tic disorders and depression. Christen works with tweens, teens and all adult populations.
