Falicia Miller earned her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University (LU) in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2016. While at LU, Falicia was trained in Christian Counseling, in addition to Clinical Therapy. Currently, she holds a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in Indiana. Falicia completed both the internship and the residency post grad hours while working at the Children’s Bureau, Inc’s Courage Center as the in-house Clinical Therapist. During this time, she worked with children and adolescents that have experienced complex trauma, including physical and sexual abuse, adoption, abandonment, neglect, and sex trafficking. During her time at Courage Center, Falicia also taught various trainings regarding mental health diagnosis, trauma-informed care, and how to be supportive of clients who have complex trauma. She earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana Bible College (IBC) in 2010 in Liberal Arts with a Minor in Religious Education.
Falicia has experience in working with clients who have been diagnosed or struggle with anxiety, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Bipolar 1, and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). She has a personal understanding of the adoption process, infertility struggles, and post-adoption. She has worked with children, adolescents, and teenagers that were in foster care, were seeking adoption, and she interviewed with potential families for placement. Falicia’s goal is to empower clients to understand all aspects of their lives and be able to live an overcoming life. She does know basic American sign language (ASL).
